HOW TO USE YOUR OWN
Draw a card at the beginning of the day. Keep it with you or display it on your desk to remind you all day that this is the one and only focus for the day. Repeat the message as a mantra. Keep the image in your mind as a reminder. Make each card your screen wallpaper for the day!
HOW TO USE AS A TEAM
Post the daily card in a public space or display on individual desks/doors. Each day, ask your “intention buddy” about the previous day’s card. Turn your card-drawing into a game by having family and friends draw cards as you discuss where you are at now and where you would like to go.
HOW TO USE WITH CHILDREN
Draw a card each day with your child/students. Encourage each child/student to set their intentions. Explain that strengthening an emotional skill is like building a “life” muscle. At the end of the day, ask them to think about times during the day when they were able to demonstrate the skill. Where do they need additional practice?
